Islamabad Police have enhanced its efforts to nab criminals and during different raids arrested 52 persons including 7 women for their suspected involvement in immoral activities, drug pushing and possession of illegal arms. Police have raided two brothels and recovered four pistols (30-bore) 15 bullets, one kilogram charas, and 46 bottles of liquor from detained outlaws, said a spokesman of Islamabad Police here on Friday.
Shalimar Police have arrested 13 persons including four women for their alleged involvement in immoral activities when a house in sector G-10/3 was raided. Police recovered 23 bottles of liquor during the raid. Police spokesman said that Shalimar Police received a compliant from the local people of sector G-10/3 that a resident namely Ghulam Mustafa is running a brothel in his house and is also involved in bootlegging.
Station House Officer Shalimar, Abid Ikram obtained a search warrant from concerned court and raided the house, in which 13 persons including Ghulam Mustafa, Nisar Ahmed, Khursheed Ahmed, Farhan Akhtar, Asif, Jameel, Abdul Said, Ghulam Yasin, Mir Muhammad, Nida, Ansar Bibi, Shazia and Shabnam were arrested. Police raiding team also recovered 23 wine bottles from there and further investigation is underway.
Koral Police following the information raided a brothel and arrested six persons identified as Tariq, Akbar Ali, Tariq Mehmood, Kiran, Sonia and Sumera for their alleged involvement in immoral activities. Koral Police also nabbed two persons namely Aksar Kiani and Khalid Satti during routine checking and recovered two pistols (30-bore) and 10 bullets from their possession.
Aabpara Police during a routine patrolling stopped three persons namely Muhammad Iftikhar, Azad Abbasi and Waiz Akhtar and during the search four bottles of liquor were recovered from them. Sabzi Mandi Police stopped two persons Dabailpur and Adnan Masih and during search police recovered 600-gram charas and 20 bottles, respectively from the two detained persons.
Sihala Police detained a drug pusher Zulfiqar Mumraiz and during search 200-gram charas was recovered from his possession. Shahzad Town Police recovered one pistol (30-bore) and three bullets from Rabail Khanm, while three persons Anata Ali, Riaz Ahmed and Mazhar Hussain for cheating people.
Shahzad Town Police also hold a search operation against the suspected people and arrested 20 suspects who have failed to prove their identity. Police spokesman said that Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan has directed all SDPOs and SHOs to gear up their efforts against the criminals to bring the crime rate under control.
