More than 2000 male and female activists of Jamaat-i-Islami, PML-N, and Kashmiri organisations here on Saturday organised rallies. One-minute silence was observed at 10:00 am and a human chain was formed to express solidarity with the people of Indian Held Kashmir. Sirens were blared and traffic also remained suspended for one minute.
Political and religious parties and Kashmiri outfits organised ten rallies only in Multan. Female activists of Jamaat-i-Islami took out a rally and burnt the flags of India and United States to express their anger. Similarly, Muslim League-N female activists also organised a rally.
Male activists also held Kashmir Conference and seminars besides organising the rallies in the city. They were raising slogans against the India government against its atrocious activities in held Kashmir. They demanded implementation of UN resolutions to restore the right of self-determination. All segments of the society including political and religious parties observed 'Kashmir Solidarity Day' to reiterate full solidarity with the people of Indian-occupied Kashmir in their just and principled struggle for freedom from unlawful Indian subjugation and to reach the ultimate destination of achieving right to self-determination.
Political and religious parties, non-governmental organisations, students, labour organisations, legal fraternity and youth in Multan held rallies, public meetings, seminars and walks to express solidarity with the Kashmiris as well as to apprise the international community about the atrocities of Indian security forces on unarmed Kashmiris in the Held Valley and to press the world powers to influence New Delhi for implementing the United Nations resolutions in Occupied Kashmir, as Kashmiris do not want to live with India.
