Counter Terrorism Unit (CTU) of Crime Investigation Department (CID) on Saturday claimed to have arrested an accused involved in several heinous crimes in interior Sindh. According to police, CTU had received a tip-off that notorious criminal Ali Akbar Shar alias Akbar Shar was hiding in Superhighway of Sohrab Goth area.
Reacting on the said information, the CTU conducted a raid in Superhighway area and arrested the accused seizing a pistol and several rounds from his possession. They said the accused was nominated in several criminal cases including kidnapping for ransom, murder, robbery, etc in interior Sindh and the provincial government had announced bounty of Rs 0.5 million for his arrest.
