Degrees, certificates of over 0.35 million federal government employees: 'verification not possible within two months'

Higher Education Department has showed its inability to verify the educational degrees and certificates of federal Government employees within the shortest period and said that it was not possible to verify 5833 degrees/certificate of employees.
Official sources said that there were more than 0.35 million employees of federal Government departments and it is not possible to verify their academic certificates/ degrees in two months.
It may be recalled that Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has directed the Establishment Division to verify the educational degrees and certificates of all the federal government employees.
The Prime Minister also desired that the Federal Public Service Commission should also ensure authenticity of the degrees and certificates of all the candidates appearing for selection in the government service.
In order to curb irregularities and corruption, the Prime Minister issued the directives to Establishment Division to verify the degrees and certificates of all the central government employees.
