After tax loss of Engro Polymer increases

The after tax loss of Engro Polymer and Chemicals Limited has increased to Rs 813.829 million in the year ended December 31, 2010 as compared to a loss of Rs 231.789 million recorded in the same period in 2009. The board of directors of the company in its meeting held here on Monday declared that the company's per share loss has increased to Rs 1.29 in the period under review against Re 0.42 in the same period a year back.
According to the financial results sent to Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE), the company's net revenue increased to Rs 14.628 billion in 2010 against Rs 11.571 in the same period in 2009. The cost of sales increased to Rs 13.436 billion against Rs 10.418 billion. The company's loss before taxation increased to Rs 1,289.450 million in 2010 as compared to Rs 249.144 million in the same period in 2009.
