SME Business Support Fund (BSF), Ministry of Finance has launched entrepreneurship and small farmers programmes. It seeks to bring to the forefront of future entrepreneurs and leaders in Pakistan to highlight the role of entrepreneurship in economic development, to enable entrepreneurs to generate income, employment and profitability through innovation and efficiency.
Saquib Mohyuddin, CEO BSF while talking to media representatives mentioned that in Pakistan Entrepreneurs Leadership Programme (PELP) the SME Business Support Fund will connect a young mass of current and potential entrepreneurs to leading industry experts, SME owners, donors, MNCs, financiers and government entities through an interactive workshop based and activity oriented sessions.
Franchising programmes; part of entrepreneurship development, BSF will facilitate the youth in connecting and facilitating them to become franchisees for national and multinational companies. To make sure of their success, BSF will hand hold the franchisee by attaching the sector specialist service provider with the franchisee. Saquib Mohyuddin reiterated that after the huge success of Peach, Peace and Prosperity project, which was initiated in July 2010 in Swat, BSF launched an enterprise development programme.-PR
