Summit Bank will complete its investment and merger plan by next month, as corporate and regulatory compliances for merger has finalised with mybank. Talking to newsman on re-launching of Summit Bank (formerly Arif Habib Bank), Husain Lawai, President & CEO, Summit Bank said that some 125 million dollars have already been invested in the Pakistan's Banking industry, while some 50 million dollars will be invested in next two months.
He said that Mybank merger with Summit Bank is on final stage and it will be completed in March 2011. "Summit Bank is one of the fastest growing Commercial Banks of the country supported by an overseas investment entity, Suroor Investment Limited," he added.
He informed that after the successful merger with Atlas Bank, now Summit Bank has an increased network of 80 branches having presence in 20 different cities across Pakistan and Azad Jammu & Kashmir. As part of the merger, all Atlas bank customers are now part of "Summit Family" having promised a satisfying banking experience. "The bank's consolidated Customer Deposits have also gone up to Rs 62 billion, with number of accounts to about 100,000 and advances to Rs 44 billion," he informed.
"We want to give our customers a satisfying banking experience that is geared towards offering banking solutions in line with the changing customer needs," Lawai said and added that Summit bank's customers will now benefit from a wider range of products and services as well as an expanded network of branches with several onsite/offsite ATMs across Pakistan.
Summit Bank has also many products in the pipeline to cater to varying financial needs of all customers. He said that bank is planning to further extend its network and next year some 50 branches will be opened and more workforces will be hired. "We believed in customer satisfaction and are committed to provide innovative solutions to fulfil the banking needs of our customers with quality service. Our team will strive to deliver swift and competitive services to our valued customers," president added.
Bank's all branches are Real Time Online and providing better services with the facility of easy access to deposit or withdraw cash from any of our Branches or ATMs anywhere in Pakistan without incurring any additional charges, making banking with us a faster, reliable and a convenient experience, he pointed out.
At the moment, Summit Bank is offering a variety of value-added services which includes SMS Banking, internet Banking, Free Visa Debit Card, Customer's Cash Protection, Evening Banking Facility and Free Remittance Payment, Lawai informed. Commenting on the bank's operations, Anwar Luftullah, Head of Operations & Information Technology, Summit Bank said, Summit Bank vision is to be the preferred provider of financial products and services to the markets.
