Islamabad Police have arrested 22 persons and recovered 10 pistols, one rifle, a dagger and stolen gold ornaments worth rupees 8.12 million from their possession. To curb crimes in the federal capital, Senior Superintendent Police Islamabad, Tahir Alam Khan directed all Sub-divisional Police Officers (SDPOs) and Station House Officers (SHOs) to ensure complete vigilance and bring the outlaws to task, said a spokesman of Islamabad Police, here on Monday.
Shalimar Police succeeded to chase three accused involved in the theft of gold ornaments worth rupees eight million from a house in E-11 sector of the capital. SSP Islamabad constituted a special team, which chased three accused namely Muhammad Zaheer son of Muhammad Akbar, Muhammad Shaukat son of Khan-e-Zaman of Abbottabad and Arshad Mehmood son of Muhammad Ashraf of Golrra Sharif Islamabad. Police recovered gold ornaments worth rupees eight million, two pistols (30-bore) and a dagger from them. SSP, Islamabad awarded cash prize and certificates to the police team for unearthing the high-profile theft.
Koral Police, also, succeeded to trace a theft case and arrested accused Aijaz who was allegedly involved in this crime, and recovered stolen commodities worth Rs 120,000 from him. Koral Police also detained three accused after it recovered two pistols (30-bore), five bullets and one bottle liqueur from them at a checkpoint. Kohsar and Sabzi Mandi Police launched crackdown and arrested six suspects who were residing in the capital without proper documents.
Golrra Police during a routine patrolling in its area held three accused namely Tariq Shah, Muhammad Gulfaraz and Muhammad Ikram and during their checking, three pistols (30-bore), one rifle (44-bore), two magazines and bullets were recovered. Sabzi Mandi Police recovered one pistol (30-bore) from an accused Abdul Waheed who was stopped by police during routine checking. Shahzad Town Police recovered two pistols (30-bore) from three accused, stopped at a checkpoint, identified as Latif Bakhsh, Razaq Mehmood, and Imdadullah. Five bullets and 615 gram charas was recovered from them.
