The Rescue 15 has recovered a stolen car within a short span of time and brought the car lifters to task. The police commandoes of Rescue 15 including ASI Akhtar Ali, Constables Ali Ahmed, Rafaqat Ali and driver Muhammad Akram received a call from control room regarding theft of a car from the G-11/2 sector, said a spokesman of Islamabad Police here on Tuesday.
They spotted a suspected vehicle and chased the car from sector I-10/2, which testimony of their commitment of ensuring protection to the lives and property of citizens. Islamabad Police is also making extra-ordinary efforts to curb car-lifting incidents in the city and its officials have been given clear directions to reduce the crime through best of their efforts, he said.
Police officers and jawans have remained firm against the menace of terrorism and emerging successful in countering criminal elements, the murderers, drug pushers, robbers and criminal gangs, spokesman said. Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Wajid Ali Durrani has also directed all SPs, SDPOs and SHOs to ensure the elimination of car - lifting incidents. With the same objective, police posts have been erected at various points of the city and special patrolling is also being ensured at exit points to check the menace.
Wajid Ali Durrani called the police officials of Rescue 15 in his office and awarded them cash prizes as well as commendation certificates. Similarly, DIG (Operations) Bani Amin Khan also awarded them while SSP Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan has also announced cash prized for them, spokesman said. IGP Islamabad said that those showing good performances will be encouraged and they would be awarded for their hard work.
