After much waiting, Fawad Alam’s prayers get answered
It looks like Fawad Alam prayers have been answered, as the left-hander is in consideration of selectors for his much awaited international return.
Alam, who is in superb form for last two years in domestic cricket, may finally get the Test recall, as selectors are now considering his name for the squad, reports suggest.
However, former captain Salman Butt and Muhammad Asif are not in contention yet for any format. Alam has been performing well in the domestic circuit and has emerged as a top contender for a spot in the international squad.
On the other hand, Pakistan cricket team captain Sarfraz Ahmed hopped that the left-hander would be able to stage a spectacular comeback in the international arena.
Pakistan have to tour Ireland for the only Test ahead of two-match series against England next year.
Earlier, the 32-year-old scored phenomenal century during the ongoing Quaid-e-Azam trophy against UBL. He scored unbeaten 123 with the help of 13 boundaries.
