Pictures: Bollywood biggies attend last rites of legendary Shashi Kapoor

Veteran actor-filmmaker Shashi Kapoor, who passed away on Monday at the age of 79, was wrapped in the Indian tricolour for his last rites on Tuesday.

The veteran Bollywood star breathed his last at 5:20 pm at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital on Monday after a period of hospitalisation.

A number of eminent Bollywood celebrities, such as Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Saif Ali Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Anil Kapoor, Naseeruddin Shah, Kareena Kapoor, Rani Mukerji, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan along with Kapoor's family members Rishi Kapoor, Randhir Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor attended the funeral to pay their last respects.

Several other celebrities also took to Twitter to pay tribute to the actor.
