Renowned lawyer and senior PPP leader Chaudhry Aitzaz Ahsan Wednesday said so-called 'Unification bloc' of Pakistan Muslim League in Punjab Assembly would now be considered as a parliamentary party. Talking to journalists outside Supreme Court, he said that under Article 63-A of the constitution, every member of the party is bound to follow the decisions of the parliamentary leader.
"If 'Unification bloc' of PML-Q are in majority in Punjab Assembly, other PML-Q members including Chaudhry Zahiruddin are legally bound to follow majority members' decisions", he maintained. He also mentioned that if anyone would violate the majority members' decisions, action could be initiated against them under the constitution. "Though, I'm grouping within political parties, if majority members of any political party take a decision, other members have no option except following it", he added.
