ISLAMABAD: Several officials of power distribution companies including Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) and Sukkur Electric Power Company (SEPCO) have been suspended on account of violation of load management schedule.
According to details, two Chief Engineer/Operation Directors, namely Muhammad Iqbal Khan Marwat, PESCO and Syed Mohabat Shah, SEPCO, a Deputy Director PDC PESCO, Akhtar Hussain, an Assistant Engineer PESCO, Siddique Ahmed and a number of grid stations In charge were suspended, a press release issued here Wednesday said.
The suspension orders were issued by authorities concerned after the Power Information Technology Company (PITC) special monitoring unit detected violation of the load shedding schedule being implemented from December 4.
Haseebullah and Abdullah grid station In charge in PESCO, Tahir Hussain Shah Grid Station In charge in GEPCO, Mohammad Miskeen and Ghulam Abbas Grid Station In charge IESCO and Allah Dino Solangi Grid Station In charge have been placed under suspension on detection of violation of load-shedding schedule.
The PITC has been constantly monitoring the load-shedding and zero load-shedding on all feeders through online system and the DISCOs have been directed to strictly adhere to the schedule.
A special hotline has also been established to monitor and report the violation of the schedule.
The Power Division has directed the DISCOs to provide maximum relief to the consumers and any violation of the schedule set on the basis of losses and recovery will not be tolerated.
According to orders issued by Lahore Electricity Supply Company (LESCO), Muhammad Afzal, SSO-1 Grid Station Qurtaba, Salman Azad SSO-I Grid Station Chung, Muhammad Tariq SSO-I Grid Station Fateh Garh have also been suspended on violating load shedding schedule the other day.
Meanwhile the suspension orders of Muhammad Yousaf SSO-II Grid Station Qurtaba has been withdrawn, the press release added.
