Secretary Health Punjab, Fawad Hassan Fawad has said that government is fully aware of the problems of doctors' community and the promise of raising their salaries will be honoured as soon as the economic situation improves. He said this while talking to a delegation of Young Doctors Association.
Secretary Health informed the delegation in detail about the existing economic situation and stressed upon the members of the delegation to negotiate and wait instead of resorting to strike in hospitals. He said that while exercising their democratic right of protest the doctors should not endanger the lives of patients. He said that in registering their protest, doctors should adopt such a method, which should not affect the working of hospitals and aggravating the problems of the patients. He assured the delegation that he will convey their sentiments to the Chief Minister.
