Muhammad Farooq chopped off the legs of his wife Saima and her paramour Shahbaz Ahmed in village No 43/15-L (Mian Chunnu) with a sharp hatchet on Saturday. Later, he appeared before tthe police and courted arrest Farooq said that on Saturday night, in his absence, his wife went to her paramour and returned early in the morning along-with him.
The enraged husband locked the room and chopped off their legs with a hatchet. Both the persons were taken to Nishtar Hospital, Multan in a critical condition. Farooq stated that his wife had developed sexual ties with Shahbaz. He forbade her from it but she continued the illicit relations.
