Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif presided over a meeting here on Sunday, which reviewed the pace of progress of low-cost housing scheme, Aashiyana. Member Provincial Assembly and Chairman Punjab Land Development Company, Sh. Allaudin and officers concerned were present.
Addressing the meeting the Chief Minister said that low-cost housing scheme Aashiyana is a revolutionary project of Punjab government, which will realise the dream of low-income people of having their own house. He said that all basic amenities would be available in these schemes. He said that Aashiyana housing scheme has been started from Lahore and a site closest to the city has been selected for this purpose. He said that under the policy of Punjab government, the project of Aashiyana housing schemes will also be completed in a transparent manner and houses will be allotted through ballot.
Chairman Punjab Land Development Company, Sh. Allaudin informed that the welfare project, Aashiyana for the low-income people is being implemented expeditiously. He also informed about the pace of work on the project in Lahore and other cities.
