The 16th Tour-de-Pakistan International Cycle Race covering 1620-km distance from Karachi to Abbotabad will get underway from Karachi from Tuesday (today). The Cycle race will conclude on March 20 at Abbotabad. Apart from cyclists from different departments and provinces, cyclists from India, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal and Africa are participating in the event, a spokesman of Pakistan Cycling Federation (PCF) said.
The 16th Tour-de-Pakistan International Cycle Race has been divided into three stages. In first stage, cyclists will take start on March 8 and will end on March 11 covering 150-km distance form Karachi to Hyderabad, 163-km from Hyderabad to Moro, 150-km from Moro to Sukkar and 178-km from Sukkar to Rahim Yar Khan.
After a day rest on March 12, the race will resume on March 13 and will end on March 16, covering 200-km Rahim Yar Khan to Bahawalpur, 90-km Bahawalpur to Multan, 154-km Multan to Sahiwal, and 160-km distance Sahiwal to Lahore. There will be rest day on March 17 and race will start again from Lahore on March 18 and will end on March 20 at Abbotabad passing through 115-km Lahore to Gujrat, 150-km Gujrat to Rawalpindi, and 150-km Rawalpindi to Abbotabad.
