Under the guidance and supervision of Professor Dr Nasreen Aslam Shah three publication have been launched on the occasion of International Women's Day which is a valuable addition in the field of academics. All the three books are not only useful for students but also for institutions working for child rights, women rights and gender issues.
"Karachi kay Nu Umar Mehnatkash Bachchay Aur Bachchiyan" is a study of current situation of child labour in Karachi. In her study she has identified the reasons of increase in child labour, their problems and recommended possible solutions to further understanding of this issue and ways to reduce child labour.
"Directory of Alumni of the Department of Social Work & the Centre of Excellence for Women's Studies, University of Karachi" is based on profile of students of the Women's Studies & Social Work Department who are associated with Government and private institutions. Its shows the contribution of human resource these two institutions have made.
"Bridging the Gaps: Research at the Centre of Excellence for Women's Studies" is a book based on abstracts of researches conducted by the students in previous years. It is an important resource for research activities and will be useful for students, Government Departments and NGOs.
