An extortionist was beaten to death while his accomplice was wounded in the remits of Kharadar police station. According to police, the Zahid had received an extortion slip of Rs 0.5 million from Lyari gangster Raja Pathan on his poultry shop located at Gaoo Street, Kakri ground in the limits of Kharadar police station. They said the abettors of Raja Pathan sprayed bullets on him as he has failed to pay them extortion money.
They said the culprits, who were trying to manage flee after committing the crime, were caught by inhabitants of the area and brutally beaten by enraged people before handing over to the police. Resultantly, one of them namely Naveed Umar succumbed to his injuries while his accomplice Asif sustained injuries. Police registered a case.
