The City District Government (CDGK) civic centre remained nearly inactive because more than 50 percent of its employees could not attend offices due to strike called by the Pakistan People Party (PPP) on Friday. The employees were unable to attend offices because of shortage of public transport on the road.
Some incidents of firing and burning of vehicles also occurred in different parts of the city due to which feeling of insecurity was also found among the masses. A number of important meetings were also postponed.
