The Karachi Port handled 119,743 tonnes of cargo including 87,431 tonnes of import cargo, 32,312 tonnes of export cargo and 3,838 loaded & empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Saturday. The total import cargo of 87,431 tonnes comprised of 36,210 tonnes of containerised cargo; 7,828 tonnes of bulk cargo: 5,500 tonnes of coal; 2,328 tonnes of rock phosphate and 43,393 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 32,312 tonnes comprised of 17,969 tonnes of containerised cargo; 14,343 tonnes of bulk cargo: 2,463 tonnes of cement and 11,880 tonnes of wheat. Four ships namely Saigon Express, CSL Ride, Ts Tokyo and Mitra Bhum with general cargo and three container ships sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Eight vessels viz Ocean Friend, Mitra Bhum, Cardonia, Nikita, Leopard-B, Warnow Moon, APL Guangzhou and Royal Aqua carrying bulk cargo, two container ships, bags, two bulk cargoes, containers and oil tanker respectively are currently at the berths. Two ships namely MSC Anafi and Hiba Al-Noor B carrying containers and cement respectively expected to sail on Saturday, while six ships namely Cardonia, APL Guangzhou, Emperor, Al-Jaber-18, Royal Aqua and Al-Mirqab with two container ships, two wheat carriers, palm oil and containers respectively are expected to sail on Sunday.
Two vessels viz MOL Success and Jasper Arrow carrying containers and vehicles respectively due to arrive on Saturday, while nine vessels viz New Activity, Ginga Lanner, Gem of Dehaj, Chemstar King, APL Bresbane, Hyundai Freedom, Shayan-1, YM Europe and Integrity with crude oil, two chemical carriers, ethanol, four container ships and vehicles carrier respectively are due to arrive on Sunday.

PORT QASIM
The Port Qasim handled 112,187 tonnes of cargo includes 82,739 tonnes of import cargo and 29,448 tonnes of export cargo and 2,763 loaded & empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours. The total import cargo of 82,739 tonnes includes 25,114 tonnes of furnace oil; 16,640 tonnes of palm oil; 6,256 tonnes of chemicals; 8,661 tonnes of urea; 2,000 tonnes of coal; 3,835 tonnes of chemicals; 7,769 tonnes of iron ore and 18,720 tonnes of containerised cargo.
The total export cargo of 29,448 tonnes includes 11,268 tonnes of wheat and 18,180 tonnes of containerised cargo. A container ship namely Safe Marine Cunene sailed out to sea on Saturday morning, while three more ships namely MV Free Envoy, MV Aquila Voyager and MT Marilena are expected to sail on the same day afternoon.
A total number of ten vessels viz CV Safe Marine Cunene, CV MSC Oslo, MV Free Envoy, MV Ina Lotte, MV Aquila Voyager, MV Alfa Nourios, MT Marilena, MT Four Bay, MV Hina Golden and MT Bunga Aster are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, wheat, urea, chemicals, iron ore, furnace oil and palm oil respectively during last 24 hours.
Four ships namely Sound Future, Hyang Ro Bong, MSC Oslo and Saphire-II carrying rice, containers and cement respectively are currently at the outer anchorage. A cement carrier namely Saphire-II expected to take berth at Multi Purpose Terminal(MW-4) on Saturday. Two ships namely MV Hyang Ro Bong and MV Gloo Vah due to arrive on Saturday, while another ship namely MV Xiang Hai is due to arrive on Monday.
