Two million saplings to be planted in Gujranwala div

Under spring tree plantation drive as many as 2000,000 saplings would be planted in Gujranwala division. Official sources told Business Recorder here on Sunday that Forest department has made necessary arrangements for the availability of plants, stumps and saplings in Gujrat, Sialkot, Narowal, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin and Gujranwala districts of the division.
Sufficient quantity of plantation stock of Shisham, Simal, Kikar, Eucalyptus, Toot and other species including ornamental plants are available on inexpensive rates for the general public at forest sale points established in six districts of the division. In order to facilitate the general public as many as 23 sale points had been established in the division. Under the campaign strenuous efforts would be made for bringing maximum land under plantation and roadsides with the concept to ensure pleasant journey and to beat the pollution sources added.
