Pakistan pacer Mohammad Sami is the latest cricketer to join the ongoing probe of spot-fixing during Pakistan Super League (PSL) season two earlier this year.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has summoned fast bowler of Islamabad United before its anti-corruption tribunal for questioning.

The 36-year-old arrived at the PCB headquarters here earlier today (Friday), where he will be questioned by the board’s anti-corruption unit in relation to the corruption allegations.

Openers Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif have already been banned by the board for five years after the tribunal found them guilty of playing a role in the spot-fixing. They too represented the Islamabad United franchise.

Fast bowler Mohammad Irfan and all-rounder Mohammad Nawaz were also suspended for 12 and two months, respectively, for not reporting the corrupt approach to the board in a timely manner.

The probe is ongoing against Karachi Kings batsman Shahzaib Hasan and former Pakistan opener Nasir Jamshed.
