Kashf Foundation(KF) held annual Kashf children Naat competition in connection with Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) on Wednesday. Kashf Foundation's clients are primarily women from low-income households and the children of these clients participated in the competition and presented Naat and Darood-o-Salam.
The function started with the recitation from the Holy Qura'an. The purpose of the event was to enhance Kashf Foundation's community presence amongst its clientele, and to encourage extracurricular activities amongst Kashf community youths. Country Head of Retail Banking, Silk Bank Limited Talha Saeed was the chief guest at the event. The first position prize trophy with computer system was awarded to Armish Chaudhary, the second prize trophy with digital camera was won by Ayesha Rehman, and the 3rd prize trophy with Bicycle was won by Fasheh Haider.
Sharing his sentiments, Head of Retail Banking, Silk Bank Limited Talha Saeed acknowledged the efforts of Kashf Foundation on arranging children Naat competition and asserted that such events are conducive for creating a healthy competitive environment for children. He further advised the children to utilise their potential efficiently for the progress and development of Pakistan.
Renowned Na'at Khawan, Hafiz Marghoob Ahmad Hamdani attended the ceremony as special guest and recited a Naat. Expressing his sentiments, Hafiz Marghoob Ahmad Hamdani commented that Na'at events increase love for the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and spread his teachings which are much needed our current times to remind us of the importance of social values. So, we should try to spread the message of Holy Prophet(PBUH), so that we can have better social values.
Upon distributing school bags, books and certificates among the participants of the Naat competition, Managing Director Kashf Foundation Roshaneh Zafar said that by acting upon the teachings of Holy Prophet (PBUH) it will not only improve our lives but also help us to establish a peaceful society.
Ms Roshaneh Zafar said that Kashf Foundation was focused on alleviating poverty and improving the lives of individuals from low income households in Pakistan through the provision of small business loans to women. Kashf Foundation is aiming to provide ample opportunities to children who come from low-income households. The aim of such events is to provide children with a platform where they are able to express their creativity while exemplifying cultural values that are cherished in their communities. Kashf Foundation already conducted Naat competition among 500 children of different areas of Lahore from them 24 children were selected. She said that Kashf Foundation will continue to conduct such initiatives in the future.
