Notice issued to secretary finance Punjab

The Lahore High Court (LHC) here on Wednesday issued notice to secretary finance Punjab in a petition of additional registrar LHC Riaz Ali Zaidi, assailing non provision of 50 percent increase in basic pay of the high court employees. Zaidi submitted in his petition that basic salaries of government employees were increased by 50 percent in federal budget 2010-11. On direction of Prime Minster, the federal law ministry also issued a notification in this regard.
But all the provincial governments except Punjab, implemented on the notification and employees of all three high courts and Islamabad High Court had been given the said increase in their basic pay.
