A petition has been filed before the Lahore High Court, challenging the acquittal and release of Raymond Davis. Barrister Iqbal Jafferi contended in his petition that trail court had acted in sheer violation of Sharia law as widow of deceased Fahim was not ready to pardon double murder accused Davis and committed suicide.
He said all the legal heirs of the deceased - Fahim and Faizan - should be summoned to the court to record their statements in an independent and a transparent manner. He prayed the court to set aside the trial court order.
