The Indus River System Authority (Irsa) on Friday released 123,997 cusecs water from various rim stations with inflow of 90,236 cusecs. According to the data released by Irsa here, the maximum water level in River Indus at Tarbela was 1405.1 feet, which was 27 feet above its dead level of 1,378.
Water inflow was recorded as 21,700 cusecs in the dam while outflow was recorded as 40,000 cusecs. The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded as 58,782, 38,261 and 28,235 cusecs respectively. The water level in River Jhelum at Mangla was 1083.4 feet, which is 43 feet above its dead level of 1,040 feet whereas the inflow and outflow of water in the dam was recorded as 24,539 and 40,000 cusecs respectively. Similarly, from River Kabul a total of 24,500 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 19,497 cusecs released from River Chenab at Marala.
