Drug peddler killed, eight held in encounter

Sindh Rangers on Tuesday claimed to have killed a drug peddler and arrested eight others after a brief encounter from Liaqautabad area. According to details, the Sindh Rangers on a tip-off raided at the house of drug baron Majeed alias Chhota Baloch at Ilyas Goth located at C1 area, Liaqautabad.
The Sindh Rangers after a brief encounter, which left Majeed's brother Arshad alias Bara Baloch killed, arrested his eight accomplices while chief drug peddler Chhota Baloch managed to flee under the cover of heavy gunfire. The Sindh Rangers had also claimed to have recovered huge cache of weapons and drugs during this nimble operation. Meanwhile, the area police had expressed incognisance into the matter but confirmed the death of Arshad, a resident of the same area and father of three.
