A delegation from China headed by Li Yan, Chairman, Asia International Finance Limited visited Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) on Tuesday. The other members of the delegations were including Sophie Liu, Executive Director, Asia International Finance Limited, Du Hua, TENGZHONG Real Estate Investment, Guo Kai Shu, Deputy General Manager, Sichuan TENGZHONG Heavy Industrial Machinery Company Limited, Professor Tang Mengshen, Peking University and other officials.
Nasir Ali Shah Bukhari, Chairman KASB Finance Private Limited, also accompanied the delegation and had a meeting with Munir Kamal Chairman Karachi Stock Exchange, members of KSE Board and Haroon Askari, Acting Managing Director-KSE to discuss the matter related with Chinese direct investment in Pakistan and overall development of Capital Markets of both countries.
Munir Kamal Chairman Karachi Stock informed the delegation that Karachi Stock Exchange has also signed a memorandum of understanding with Shanghai Stock Exchange and he wish that the next steps toward further co-operation between the two countries may be taken to improve bilateral relations with reference to trade, industry and commerce. Haroon Askari, Acting Managing Director-KSE presented a brief overview about the Karachi Stock Exchange and highlighted the growth prospects of Capital Markets of Pakistan.-PR
