The Pakistani team played well to defeat West Indies to enter in the semi-final of the World Cup 2011. The turning point was when Shahid Afridi took a brilliant catch of Chris Gayle when he was only 8 on the bowling of Umer Gul.
Mohammad Hafeez bowled very well with the new ball and took two wickets with a brilliant unbeaten knock of 61. Shahid Afridi took 4 wickets and was the leading wicket-taker in this World Cup of 2011.
When a team plays in full spirit and all the players are in form then we win a match and are capable of defeating any team. Such spirit is required to qualify for the Final when Pakistan will defeat India whom we have to play in the semi-final.
Pakistan took the revenge of the 1992 World Cup from the West Indies by defeating them by 10 wickets. But I was much concerned that when the Pakistani team won the match people starting firing in the air in Karachi. But when a person gets hurt on account of the firing or is injured then who will be responsible? Good luck to entire Pakistani nation for the World Cup of 2011. This was a great gift to the entire nation on the 23rd of March 2011.
