Zareen Khan Yousufzai, wife of Managing Director Pakistan International Airline (PIA), Nadeem Khan Yousufzai inaugurated PIA Industrial Home at the airline's head office. PIA Industrial Home is another step taken by the management for the development of the low cadre staff; their female family members will be employed here and will help their families by earning bread and butter for them.
These women will be paid Rs 7,000 per month and will stitch uniforms for low cadre staff from pay group 1 to 4," said Mrs Zareen Khan Yousufzai. While gracing the occasion, Managing Director PIA, Nadeem Khan Yousufzai expressed his views and forwarded his full support for the new project of PIA. "We must endeavour best of our abilities in order to restore the positive image of the National Flag Carrier," he said.
He said that PIA has always supported role of women in the organisation. It is the vision of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto that has been taken up by the management of PIA and over the years, the number of female employees in the National Carrier has increased. While working as a family, we believe in giving more power to the women in the airline, and support them in their efforts to establish a healthy working environment within the organisation.
In such a short span of time, Mrs Zareen Khan Yousufzai has made an outstanding contribution for the development of employees by donating Rs 12 lakhs (0.12 million) for PIA Industrial Home. She will be the Chairperson of PIA Industrial Home.-PR
