Notorious Lyari gangster held, weapons recovered

The Counter Terrorism Unit (CTU) of Crime Investigation Department (CID) on Saturday claimed to have arrested a notorious Lyari gangster and recovered huge cache of weapons from his possession. According to CID police, a team head by SSP CID CTU Chauhdry Aslam conducted a raid on a tip off at Manghopir Colony.
They arrested a Lyari gangster namely Jan Mohammad alias Jano after brief encounter. CID police also claimed that they recovered two hand grenades, two TT Pistols and several rounds from his possession. They said the accused, who is involved in over 50 criminal cases, was planning to launch intensive weapons attack on other rival groups. Further investigation is in process.
