The process of nation-wide poverty survey under Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) in Federally Administered Tribal Areas would be started in the month of April. As a result, deserving families would get registered with BISP as beneficiaries and will become entitled to receive monthly cash grant as well as other benefits offered by the programme.
Chairperson BISP, Ms Farzana Raja said this while giving away a detailed briefing the parliamentarians from Fata with regard to the process of poverty survey in the area. Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Barrister Masood Kausar, Senators, MNAs from Fata and notables including Secretary Law & Order along-with high ups of law enforcement agencies were present on the occasion.
Ms Farzana Raja urged the parliamentarians to assist in the process of survey in their respective constituencies so that the right of deserving families could be delivered. Governor Khyber Pakhtunhwa and Ms Farzana Raja, later, distributed cheques among 107 the women heads of the beneficiary families of BISP under the Waseela-e-Haq scheme.
Besides others, Munir Orakzai, Parliamentary Leader for FATA in National Assembly, Kiramatullah Khan Chagharmati, Speaker Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, Raheem Dad Khan, Senior Provincial Minister, Federal and Provincial Ministers and several members of the National and Provincial Assembly were also present on the occasion.-PR
