National Productivity Organisation (NPO) in collaboration with Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry organised one day workshop on "Quality & Productivity Improvement Techniques" at Hyderabad Secretariat on Saturday. This programme was organised to outreach the enterprises located in interior Sindh. It was attended by representatives from various industrial units and Mehran University of Engineering & Technology.
This programme focused on adopting advanced techniques to minimise wastage in all sectors. It came under discussion in the workshop that ranking of Pakistan with respect to competitiveness in the world is low. This is because of hidden wastage in our process of manufacturing as well as services. This hidden wastage is making huge contribution in escalating the cost of product or service.
Participants of workshop agreed that Pakistan couldn't find position in upper slot, consisting of major trading countries of the world. This programme discussed various advance quality and productivity tool at length. Objective of the workshop was that participants improve their skills and implement new quality and productivity techniques in their work areas.
