India cannot suppress the Kashmiris struggle for securing their inalienable right to self-determination by resorting to arrest of innocent people and other repressive tactics. APHC leader and Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League (JKPL) Vice Chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza has said this while addressing a public gathering in Tral.
According to KMS on Monday, he said that Kashmir was a political dispute, which could be resolved through tripartite talks involving Pakistan, India and the true Kashmiri leadership. He stressed New Delhi to create conducive atmosphere for meaningful and result-oriented talks on Kashmir.
The APHC leader maintained that permanent peace in South Asia was not possible without resolving the long-pending dispute. He demanded an end to unlawful arrests and immediate halt to gross violations of human rights by Indian troops in the occupied territory. He said the world community had recognised Kashmir as a dispute, which should be settled through dialogue process.
