More countries now executing convicts: Amnesty

Amnesty International says the number of countries executing convicts rose to 23 in 2010. That's four more countries than in 2009, which saw the lowest number of countries impose the death penalty since the 50-year-old organisation began keeping statistics. Still the London-based rights group said in a report published Monday that the number of countries without the death penalty has more than doubled over the past two decades.
