A state buyer in Bangladesh has issued an international tender to purchase and import 25,000 tonnes of sugar, European traders said on Monday. The bidding deadline in the tender from the Bangladesh Sugar and Food Industries Corporation is Apr. 23.
Bangladesh plans to import 175,000 tonnes of sugar to keep prices of the sweetener stable in the face of high sugar futures, the corporation said on Mar, 2.
