SHO of Rizvia police station and five other gamblers have been arrested in a raid at gambling den on Thursday. According to sources, the police party, headed by SP Liaquatabad, conducted raid at gambling den within the remits of Rizvia police station.
They said the police party have arrested five gamblers from the spot and also taken SHO Rizvia Mohammad Jamal in custody over the charge of patronising this illicit activity in his jurisdiction. They said the SP Liaquatabad has directed to initiate inquiry against him while his suspension order was not issued till filing of this report. When contacted, SP and TPO Liaquatabad to confirm the matter, they were not available on phone. No case in this regard was registered so far.
