President Asif Ali Zardari on Friday congratulated the newly elected office-bearers of All Pakistan Newspapers Society (APNS). The President felicitated Hameed Haroon and Sarmad Ali on their re-election as the president and general secretary and said it showed the confidence of the members in their able leadership.
He hoped that they would work even harder for the welfare of their community. The President also reiterated the government's support in upholding the freedom of expression in the country. He expressed the confidence that media-government relations would further flourish in the coming days and they would join hands for the overall development and progress of the country.
