In order to create awareness among the farmers' community about innovative technologies in the agriculture sector, a Kissan Mela was held in Model Village Chak 16, Southern Punjab under the auspices of Zarai Taraqiati Bank Ltd (ZTBL), said a press release here on Friday.
An exhibition of Chinese Tractor Manufacturing Company YTO & International Technology Company followed by sharing of vital information among the large gathering of farmers was also organised on the occasion. The event was graced by M. Zaka Ashraf, President ZTBL as chief guest.
On the eve of the event, Vice president of YTO Corp Company said that they are thankful to Pakistan Government and ZTBL President for providing this opportunity to introduce Chinese make tractors which were competitive to any other tractor. Dy. Manager Export, Jea Chun Le of Mis Shanksi Zentong said that their company wants to see greener Pakistan and the solar energy driven pump, sprinkler; drip irrigation would be a standardised source of water requirement for irrigating Pakistan's land.
ZTBL Senior Executive Vice President, M. Javed Akhtar overviewed development phase of the bank. He informed that the bank is providing agriculture finance coupled with technology. M. Zaka Ashraf thanked the Chinese firm and prayed for Jamil Nishter who turned around the bank with significant process this year devastating floods played havoc to our agriculture sector and the farmers but we are hopeful that after wheat harvesting & recovery the bank will earn record profit. He appreciated the role of Chinese Government and their people for the economic revival of the country through agriculture-led growth in Pakistan. We established risk management, credit management and initiated promotion of bank's employees through skill match. Under the present management bank earned a record profit, he concluded.-PR
