Dawood Public School in collaboration with Fatimid Blood Bank Saturday organised a blood donation camp and highlighted advantages of the donation. The students participated devotedly and encouraged their fellows to take part in the drive. Parents and teachers of the school also participated while Fatimid Foundation presented appreciation certificates to volunteer students during the campaign.
The team of Fatimid Foundation tested donors' blood for Haemoglobin, Venereal Disease Research Laboratory (VDRL), Malaria and Hepatitis B and C and furnished reports and certificates. Donors were also vaccinated for Hepatitis-B. On the occasion, students were informed about the advantages of blood donation. Moreover, they were informed that healthy individuals of age 16 to 60 and weighting 50 kg are eligible to donate blood. Brochures on thalassemia and advantages of blood donation were also distributed on the occasion.-PR
