Business was seen restricted on the wholesales grain market on Saturday as buyers are still keeping away from fresh purchasing due to decreasing buying interest, dealers said. On the cereal side wheat old Bardan gained Rs 25 to Rs 2400 and wheat new Bardan picked up the same amount to Rs 2415. Gur prices went up sharply by Rs 200 to Rs 5500-6500, they said.
On the grams side, grams Australia dal fell sharply by Rs 200 to Rs 5500-5700, yellow peas Canada followed the same pattern, losing Rs 50 to Rs 3550-3750 and yellow peas Canada dal also shed the same amount to Rs 3950-4150 and yellow peas Ukraine also shed Rs 25 to Rs 3375-3675, other items maintained overnight levels in process of trading, they said.
Only one change was seen on the rice sector, where Irri-6 Sindh was lower by Rs 20 to Rs 3320-3380, other types did not show any change before closing, they said. On the seed side, cottonseeds oilcake Sindh with bag low type retained overnight level at Rs 1375 while the good type was higher by Rs 20 to Rs 1420, they said.
