Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Secretary General Liaquat Baloch has condemned the Punjab government's apathy towards the young doctors' demands and accused it of playing with the lives of patients. He said that the Punjab rulers, who are spending billions of rupees on ceremonial things, were denying the doctors their genuine demands simply out of false ego.
Baloch said that the government has been ignoring the doctors' demands for over a month but is wasting billions on luxuries and unnecessary pursuits. As a result, hundreds of patients lying in government hospitals are in a state of misery. He pointed out that people from all walks of life, including workers and PCS officers, have been forced to come on roads only because of the government's wrong policies. He further said that the country was being pushed towards instability.
