Earthquake Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Authority (Erra) completed 6,732 projects during last two years among the total 12,927 projects awarded to the authority. Talking to newsmen on Tuesday an official of Erra told newsmen that the authority had completed 52.08 percent projects so far whereas 4,157 are under construction.
They said that 1,768 projects were in tendering stage while designing of 263 projects was going on and only seven projects were in planning stage. Giving sector wise details, Erra officials said projects awarded to the authority included 5,782 education projects in which 1,742 completed, 2,399 were under construction, 1,417 in tendering stage, 217 in designing and seven in planning stage. Whereas, among 466 projects of environment, 156 are completed, 297 are under construction and 13 in tendering stage while no project in designing or planning stage.
Among 692 projects of governance, 371 are completed, 276 under construction and 45 in tendering stage. The authority, officials added, got the task of completing 306 health projects and till April 1, 148 completed, 108 under construction, 44 in tendering and six in designing stage.
Among 665 livelihood projects, 83 are so far completed, 349 under construction, 209 ready for tendering, and 24 in designing stage. The Authority has also completed 4,098 Watan project among the total number of 4,746 while 617 are under construction, 20 in tendering and 11 in designing stage.
