A division bench of the Lahore High Court here Wednesday directed Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to produce record of Muhammad Maalick, one of the manager of a company owned by PML-Q leader Moonis Elahi and other accused persons of NICL scam. The bench adjourned the hearing in bail petition of Maalick to April 12.
Moonis, son of the former Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Pervez Elahi, is also on judicial remand for his alleged involvement in the scam. FIA accused Muhammad Maalick and others including former federal minister Habibullah Warraich, his son Mohsin Warraich, of misappropriating NICL's funds on account of land purchase. The agency is to recover embezzled amount worth of Rs 220 million, which accused Maalick allegedly deposited to the account of Mohsin Warraich.
