Pilots of Pakistan International Airline PIA will participate in the Annual International Federation of Airline Pilots' Association (IFALPA) Conference on air safety, scheduled to be held on the International Airline Pilots' Day, April 7 in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
IFALPA is holding first-of-a-kind meeting in Thailand where a large number of pilots, airlines' staff members and aviation experts will mark their presence from different airlines across the globe. Captain Lee Moak-President, Air Line Pilots Association, Int'l, Captain Paul Strachan - President, Air Canada Pilot's Association, Jaan Albrecht - CEO, Star Alliance, LLC, Captain Kevin Henderson-Globalisation Co-ordinator, New Zealand Air Line Pilots' Association, Captain Bob Coffman - Chairman, Government Affairs Committee, Allied Pilots Association, Captain Kevin Judkins - Vice Chairman, BALPA-BACC and Amb. Woerth United States Ambassador to ICAO, a former airline pilot and President of ALPA International are among the participants who will extend their experience about aviation safety and other related issues.
PIA delegation, representing Pakistan in the Conference, led by President PALPA, Captain Suhail Baluch, will actively participate in different technical sessions to share views and experiences. PALPA President said that the PIA Pilots are committed to adopt advanced learning practices related to aviation safety and passengers' satisfaction in order to minimise the aircraft crash incidents in airspace of the country as well as elsewhere. PALPA members will transfer indispensable knowledge of aviation safety and operations to their fellow members through workshops and discussion forums to introduce the global practices in the airline, he added.-PR
