All CNG stations in Karachi, interior Sindh and Balochistan will remain closed from 12pm till 6:00am daily up to 15 April 2011. This was decided in a meeting held between Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) and the representatives of various CNG stations association.
According to a press release issued here on Tuesday, the SSGC is facing a shortfall of 200mmcfd, due to the Annual Turn Around (ATA) of Bhit Gas field, which commenced from midnight of 11 April 2011. The next closure of CNG stations will follow from 18 April to 22 April 2011. It was also decided in the meeting that SSGC's monitoring teams will enforce the decision.
The SSGC through press advertisements has requested all the industrial and domestic customers to reduce their gas consumption voluntarily by 15 percent, which will enable SSGC to provide uninterrupted gas supply to all its valued customers throughout its franchise area during the period of the Annual Maintenance of Bhit Gas Field.-PR
