Punjab Agriculture and Livestock Minister Malik Ahmad Ali Aulakh said that Punjab University (PU) is greatest seat of higher learning with exceptional tradition and hoped that the students of Institute of Plant Pathology (IPP) Punjab University after completion their degrees will contribute their role in the development of agriculture sector.
He was addressing the annual dinner of PU IPP department. The dinner was attended by Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Mujahid Kamran, Additional Secretary Agriculture Amir Khattak, DG Extension Anjum Ali, SP Iqbal Town Romeel Akram, Dean Faculty of Agriculture, Agriculture University Faislabad Rana Ashfaq, Director IPP Dr Saleem Haider and large number of teachers and students.
He further said that Pakistani fruits and vegetables have no alternative in the world in view of their taste and energy. He said Pakistan is facing the challenges like energy and we have to depend upon other countries for technology. He said due to revolutionary steps of Chief Minister Punjab Government made record production in cotton, wheat and rice. He said we could not developed and get prosperity even after 64 years of independence and still we have opportunity to stable. At the end Director thanks the participants. Students welcomed Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Mujahid Kamran by showering rose petals on him. During the ceremony students presented different sketches, Qawali and stage performances which were appreciated by the audience.
Speaking on the occasion Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Mujahid Kamran said that Punjab University has very unique talent, which are found very rare in the world. He said that he feel pleasure that he solved the problems of IPP students, which was inherited by the present administration. He said this world is a great battlefield and only those survive who have the power and knowledge. Today the knowledge able nations are dominating and we should also use maximum time and wealth for acquiring knowledge.
