Sunni Ittehad Council Pakistan (SICP) is going an extra mile to hold a big public meeting here tomorrow under the banner of "Istehkaam-e-Pakistan Sunni Conference" to show its power and relevance in Pakistan's religious and political horizon.
Two days ahead of the conference its activists took out a motor cycle rally from Data Darbar to Punjab Assembly carrying green banners and flags of "Gumbad-e-Khizra" and chanting "Yaa Sayyedee Yaa Murshidee, Yaa Nabi Yaa Nabi, ghulam hain ghulam hain, Rasool ke ghulam hain," Pakistan Banaya tha, Pakistan Bachain Gey." Aulia ka faizan Pakistan Pakistan" etc.
Syed Safdar Shah Gilani, Mohammad Nawaz Kharal, Sahibzada Naeem Arif, Maulana Mujahid Abdur Rasool, Mufti Mohammad Haseeb Qadri, Allama Naeem Javed Noori, Maulana Mohammad Ali Naqshbandi, Sahibzada Shahid Gardezi, Pir Ziaul Mustafa Haqqani, Mufti Mohammad Karim Khan, Sahibzada Usman Ali, Pir Abid Hussain Gardezi, Allama Syed Khurram Riaz also participated in the rally.
Addressing the rally Pir Syed Mahfooz Mashhadi said SIC has launched a movement to protect Pakistan. The accountability and dooms day of feudals, capitalists and Waderas has come. Pir Syed Ajmal Gilani said that the terrorists are roaming about freely whereas restrictions are being imposed on peaceful people. Pir Syed Mohammad Iqbal said SIC is peaceful and represents majority of the country. We should not be forced to leave the path of peaceful struggle and adopt violent methods.
Meanwhile, groups of people have started reaching Lahore from all over the country. They are being put up in the religious seminaries and schools of Jamaat-e-Ahle-Sunnat. The conference will start at Namaz-e-Asar. Its second session will start after Maghrib prayers which will be addressed by Chairman SIC Sahibzada Haji Mohammad Fazal Karim, MNA.
