Computer maker Acer is bringing two new laptops onto the market with the Sandy Bridge chip set. Depending on their outfitting, the Aspire 5750 and 7750 models come with either Intel Core i3, i5 or i7 processors.
The starting price for the 15.6-inch 5750 notebooks is 599 euros (848 dollars), while the 7750 series with its 17.3-inch screen costs 100 euros more. Otherwise, the models are generally similar, though the larger machine has space for two hard drives and up to 16 gigabytes of working memory. The 5750 only has space for 8 gigabytes. Both models offer customers the choice between a DVD burner or a Blu-ray drive. Acer reports that both laptops should be available in stores immediately.
